Marry UP!

FIRST OFF: We haven’t blogged in a while. Not because we didn’t want to, or because we didn’t have anything to blog, because we have had tons, but for a lot of other lame excuses and reasons that I won’t bore you with. Besides, I always hate the “oops sorry I haven’t blogged in a while” blog post. So, like old friends who can just pick up where they left off. Here we are, ready to show you some of our most recent work we think is fun, and all that jazz.

We photographed Kendle and Glen’s Wedding on the 30th of December. We had the privilege to photograph their Engagement Session back in the summer, and got know these lovebirds a little bit. You really only need 10 seconds with these two to know that they are absolutely in love, head over heels,nuts about each other. Their wedding was no different. We appreciated their realness. They just couldn’t wait to be married to each other. They were married at Fellowship Bible in Lowell, AR and their reception was there as well. They had decided to do the theme from the PIXAR movie “UP”. It’s a great one! They had Kelly from The Balloon Closet in Siloam Springs create these Massive Balloon centerpieces that made this incredible canopy of color in the reception hall. It was really incredible. I wanted to steal one to take home to our kids. We would have been Hero’s! Anyway, Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day. Enjoy!

Chelsea’s Bridal Session

We shot Chelsea’s Bridal Session back in May just days before her wedding, and I can’t believe we haven’t posted them yet! Ahhh! We have been a bit busy, but it’s time to show off some of her gorgeous pics. She is a really sweet and beautiful girl, and we have enjoyed working with her and her {now hubby} Zach. Very soon we will be posting a few from their wedding day, so keep your eyes peeled for more!

It’s the little things: THE DRESS

The Wedding Dress. The dress marks of the beginning of the journey of planning a Wedding. It is often the first thing you choose. It was for me (this is Becky, btw…in case you were getting nervous). It may even be the only thing you alone truly choose. It seems like it should be simple just decide what cut and style and color you like. So your research begins with; bridal magazines, shops, getting advice from everyone who has an opinion to give (like it or not), trying ones on you love and ones you totally hate, and yikes it can be a big job! Finally you choose IT. Phew…oh, but wait, you’re not done. There is a veil, shoes, and bridesmaid dresses that you need to choose, along with a half million other things.

We love photographing the dress. It tells us a little something about the bride, what she is like, her personal style. You only plan to wear this dress once in your life, so we want to make sure we get to photograph it and you wearing it.

To all the brides out there, still looking for the right dress, we wish you all the best and lots of joy on your journey!

Yay! What a great couple! They flew up from South Carolina and were married at Colonial Court Celebration in Highfill this weekend. Even though it rained a lot that day, we still were able to head out to get some fun shots. Take a look at a couple of our faves! Congrats Leah & Jonathan!
