Two years ago, this was just a thing that happened here in NW Arkansas. I really didn’t think much of it, and was slightly annoyed by it (this is Becky, BTW ) Two years ago, we had a new baby and headed down this Fayetteville festival with some friends to hang out and watch the Motorbikes roar by. A mean looking Motorcycle dude walked over to us in his all leather biker get-up, (complete with leather chaps) and then in a husky voice asked ” Can I see you little baby?” With some hesitation and a bit of fear of saying no, we let him peek at her. He then melted into a pile of sweet, cooing gentle Grandpappy. Go figure.
Last year, Jonathan bought a Motorbike. Last year we went to BBB, and this year, we made it an annual tradition. I’m not sure how I feel about this new sub-culture I’m suddenly a part of, but I do know, I will not be wearing leather chaps anytime soon.
Biker info: This is the 3rd largest Rally in the US! Amazing!
NonBiker info: Don’t go to Fayetteville the first weekend in October, you will just get mad.
Here are some photos I took along the way… Enjoy!
Yes, I HAD to wear the tallest boots I owned. I didn’t want to look like a total poser.

This is our bike, and by ours I mean Jonathan’s. I can’t ride it, and I don’t want to.

If you have never been BBB on Dixon street, here is a peek at what they do. They ride up and down Dixon, rev their engines until you experience pain, then drive around and do it again. For hours. Every night. And as much as I don’t want to admit it. I kind of enjoy it. I know, what has happened to me?! I should see someone about that.

Aww, look the Easter Bunny!
The constant rumble kept the decibel meter at a 95. This is without gratuitus engine revving.

Oh look, Santa! Guess this is his plan B transport if Global warning keeps up.

No, this is NOT Jonathan. Just some college kid who had a few too many. Glad to know he wouldn’t be on the road.

Most of these folks, are really fun though, and not the meanie biker gang type that they have often been mistaken to be. Although I think she may have a glow-stick addiction.

My ears are ringing and my lungs are full of smoke and exhaust. Time to hit the road. See ya, BBB!

Anna & Nathan were married in downtown Little Rock, AR. Their wedding took place at St. Andrews, and the reception took place at the Arkansas Arts Center.
We got to drive around Little Rock and get a couple of shots, before the reception. They are both so fun, and up to whatever, even jumping off stairs in a wedding dress! We got to chat with them in the car, and hear about their work in China. and plan to go back in a year. Anna speaks the language, and Nathan is well on his way. They have both lived and worked in China for the past year or so. They have a great story. Seriously, we get to work with the most amazing and fascinating people. We are so honored that they chose us to document their day. Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day. Enjoy!

Meet Matt & Johanna. They are high school sweethearts (awwwww. I know.) Matt has been planning for a while to ask Johanna to marry him , and has been making all sorts of schemes and plans to make the day really special. We knew that this was going down fairly soon, so we approached him to see if he would be interested in doing a secret engagement session. Jonathan met with him a couple from times to plan out the logistics.
On the day of Jonathan drove up to Kansas City, and scouted out the vantage point, and waited. After Matt had taken her to all the planned locations, he would pop the questions at the final location, where Jonathan would be cleverly hidden behind some bushes and could capture the whole thing. He made some “friends” with the local mosquitoes, and they were happy to have him for lunch,:) It was all totally worth it, because he caught an amazing moment, first hand. And the best part? She had no idea!
Enjoy these.

And then a little surprise after party, with the family.

If you are a a guy thinking of popping the question to your girl, and want something like this, give us a call 479-238-3832 and we will set up a fantastic “Will You” shoot, just for you.

Amanda and Bryan were married at the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks in June. It was a hot day, but we had a lot of fun with them. They had made their programs into fans, which was such a brilliant idea in this Arkansas heat! We did a “first look” with them, which is where the Bride and Groom have a moment to see each other, before the ceremony. We highly recommend this to all our wedding clients. It is a really special moment between bride and groom, and it is fun for us to get to document.
The Botanical Gardens, several secret spots and fun areas, we always love photographing there. The light was really beautiful, and we were able to steal them away for a few shots during dancing. The party was really hopping with DJ Kenny from Tulsa playing some great songs. He kept people dancing, although I don’t think the groom needed much to get him on the dance floor. He was tearing it up out there, you’ll see as you scroll through. All in all a great summer wedding, wonderful couple, fantastic party, and a beautiful night!
Enjoy the photos! Congrats to Bryan and Amanda! We wish you abundant blessings in your life together!

First Look! We love this willow branch-y nest tube thingy (technical term), it makes us happy!

See…he was having fun. No doubt about it.
